A vacancy has arisen for a Civils Ganger, to join our team. This position will appeal to an individual looking to expand their skill base within the water sector.

S&B Utilities as a group of companies are involved in all major civils and engineering sectors, working in exciting areas such as Ministry of Defence and regulated water industry.

_The role briefly encompasses the following duties: - _
Act as the working lead in a civils gang to cover all aspects of civil engineering and construction, installations from Manholes, pipelaying (both gravity and pressure systems), Installation of shoring systems (including both boxes and sheet piled excavations), Kerbing and ACO drainage systems

Leading a small gang of site operatives ensuring the completion of daily paperwork and ensuring the work is completed to a high standard and on programme.

Ensure delivery outputs meet the standards and

specifications of the project deliverables.

Liaise with site supervisor/ manager on work progress, risks and all SHEQ activities

Ensure compliance with company quality, safety,

occupational health and environmental performance

Maintaining high standards of safety and quality

Organise gang for daily activities

Relevant industry skills card or qualifications (CSCS/ CPCS/ JIB) or a minimum 2yrs working experience

Level 3 NVQ Certificate in either Construction or Civil Engineering Operations,

Basic knowledge of temporary works installations (Shoring/barriers and fencing)

EUSR National water hygiene card

SSSTS qualification (minimum 1yrs experience)

A strong background in the water industry is preferred but not essential.

Full UK Driving Licence

Team player with the ability to work on your own initiative.
