£40,000 - £43,000 (pro-rata)

  • Bell Cornwall Recruitment are looking for an experienced Trust Officer to join a leading Church organisation, providing Property and Legal Support for the West Midlands. _
  • The role is varied and exciting, with no two days the same and plenty of opportunities to further develop knowledge and understanding within the sector. _

Key duties and responsibilities:


  • Working with Solicitors on Sharing Agreements, Charity Law and general legal matters and property transactions as needed such as, Declaration of Trust and Land Registration
  • Acting as Secretary to the Trust Board, coordinating the Trustees Report, preparing the Trust Board agenda, taking minutes and contributing to the followup (including correspondence)
  • Alerting local churches and others to changes in relevant legislation, advising/assisting as necessary and be available for consultation and advice as/when needed on legal & property matters

The ideal Trust Officer would:


  • Have the relevant professional qualification or experience in Law, ideally within Property and Charity
  • Be familiar with the operations of the Church up to General Assembly level and able to represent at this level
  • Have discretion and integrity especially concerning confidentiality
  • Be self motivated and able to work both as a member of a team and alone, and to deadlines
  • Be happy to go into the office 4 days per week
