Our client, a well-established property investment and development company, are seeking a talented and experienced
Residential Acquisitions Surveyor to join their dynamic team.
As a Residential Acquisitions Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and securing strategic development investment, add value opportunities nationwide.
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end acquisition process, conducting due diligence, negotiating deals, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Source Residential Properties: Identify and evaluate potential acquisitions targets, including buildings suitable for HMOs, accommodation buildings, hotels, retirement and other residential properties nationwide.
- Conduct Market Research: Perform comprehensive market research, financial analysis, and feasibility studies to assess investment potential and associated risks.
- Due Diligence: Carry out due diligence activities, such as property inspections, title searches, and environmental assessments, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
- Investment Proposals: Prepare detailed investment proposals, financial models, and valuation reports, showcasing the viability and potential return on investment for each opportunity.
- Negotiation and
Deal Structuring:
Negotiate and structure acquisition deals, including purchase agreements, leases, and joint ventures, while building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with internal teams and thirdparty consultants to facilitate smooth transaction processes and ensure seamless project delivery.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with property owners, brokers, developers, and industry professionals to expand our network and facilitate future opportunities.
- Market Awareness: Stay up to date with market trends, regulations, and industry best practices to inform strategic decisionmaking.
Qualifications:
- Real Estate Expertise: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, or a related field. Education related to this field would be advantageous. Relevant professional certifications, such as MRICS, are desirable.
- Extensive experience would be advantageous: experience in real estate acquisitions, preferably in a senior role, with a proven track record of successfully identifying and closing deals.
- Financial and
Analytical Skills:
Strong knowledge of property valuation, financial analysis, and due diligence processes. Proficiency in financial modelling and real estate investment analysis software.
- Excellent Negotiation and Communication: Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Self-Motivated and Organised: Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Residential Trading Expertise: Specific experience in residential trading, including the management, purchase, sale, and lease of residential and commercial properties.
- Technological Proficiency: Strong numeracy skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of other relevant software and tools is a plus.
