Responsibilities:


  • Supporting the planning and delivery of activities and lessons in accordance with the national curriculum.
  • Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment for all children.
  • Helping children to develop their social, emotional, physical and intellectual skills.
  • Assisting with assessments, progress reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Supporting the implementation of individual education plans for children with special educational needs.
  • Liaising with parents, carers and other professionals as required to ensure that children receive the best possible support.
  • Helping to maintain accurate records of attendance, accidents and incidents.
  • Ensuring that all safeguarding policies and procedures are followed.

Requirements:


  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with children aged 711 years.
  • Good understanding of the national curriculum for KS
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Knowledge of child safeguarding and welfare policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work on a fulltime basis.
