We are currently looking for a Full time Housekeeping Attendant (Back of House / Linen Room focus) to join our friendly team at the Union Jack Club.

As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will be responsible for:

  • Jet washing of garage including but not limited to ramps, outskirts of building, smoking area, patio, and front entrance.
  • Cleaning of meeting rooms tasks including but not limited to emptying of dustbins, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, cleaning of toilets and public areas.
  • Washing of industrial dustbins.
  • Sorting of recycling and emptying the trash chute daily.
  • Taking responsibility of the linen room when needed tasks including but not limited to receiving daily linen delivery, counting delivered linen and chefs uniforms, distributing linen to all floors according to daily business demands, washing of rags, face flannels and kitchen cloths, collecting dirty linen from all floors throughout the day, keeping linen room and cupboard as well as the laundry clean at all times while following the correct procedures when it comes to chemicals and the cleaning of laundry equipment.
  • Ensure the outer perimeter of the building is weed and grass free while ensuring that all trash is picked up and bird droppings are washed away.
  • Keeping all staff changing rooms clean to the highest standard replenishing toilet paper and handwash. Duties include but are not limited to vacuuming, dusting, mopping, cleaning of toilets and showers.
  • Keeping all fire exit staircases and back passages clean including hight dusting, low dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping. Scrubbing of back passages periodically.
  • Keeping all housekeeping store rooms clean and clutter free informing the assistant housekeeping manager of any shortages, damages, or out of date products. Responsible for monthly stock take. Receiving deliveries from the basement and storing correctly in designated stores following the FIFO rule to ensure good stock control and rotation.

Skills and Knowledge

To have worked in a Hotel, preferably in Housekeeping department

Experience in a similar role

Team worker

Good communication skills

Ability to display customer and colleague care

Organization skills and ability to work on own initiative

Good level of spoken English


The Union Jack Club is located in London Waterloo, with the building consisting of 300 bedrooms spread over 24 floors.

The Club offers luxurious and peaceful accommodation and facilities to serving and former serving members of the Armed Forces

Salary:
£23,322.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift from 7:00am 3:30pm Monday Friday
