They have partnered exclusively with Stephen at Rise to recruit an Operational Efficiency Manager to focus specifically on their storeswith the aim to improve customer and store colleague experience through the effective allocation of their best resource - their people Their offices are West Midlands based and close to public transport links.

THE ROLE

  • Responsible for driving and improving productivity and processes across the retail estate
  • Managing and developing labour / staffing models across the retail estate and keeping a lookout for ways to save money and where else it can be reinvested to give stores the support they need, when they most need it
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement or task simplification and testing new initiatives through proof of concepts and pilots, launching full scale rollouts where appropriate
  • Communicating across the business, working with Area Managers, Store Managers, Colleagues, the Head of HR, Head of Retail and Head of Operations
  • Creating reports and dashboards to help store teams and senior leaders understand and monitor staffing costs
  • Managing a small team and an external workforce measurement (WFM) company who will go into stores and perform task analysis of key activities (such as processing delivery or restocking)
  • Maintaining accurate time and motion data and using this to make recommendations for efficiency improvements and ways to eliminate waste
  • Managing the WFM software including user profile and store characteristics adjustment

ABOUT YOU


You will have demonstrable experience in a role where you have been responsible for improving productivity and making efficiencies within retail.

You will have experience building, evaluating, and deploying labour / staffing models.

You could already bein a role dedicated to this, or this could be part of your current role and you're keen to specialise.

You might have formal qualifications within workforce measurement (WFM), change management, project management, or continuous improvement but if you don't
- don't worry - real-world experience is just as good, and the business is happy to support you to get these if you wish.
