This role will see you working for Gem Tool Hire & Sales Ltd, a family owned independant Tool hire company in a small team, delivering on the maintenance, service, and repair of our hire equipment (tools and plant).

This position is based in our Bicester Depot in Oxfordshire. Our range of equipment is varied and includes compressors, mini
- excavators, dumpers, small tools, gardening equipment, and many other small petrol or diesel engine driven pieces of equipment.

This role would suit applicants with a good general mechanical skill set offering experience in the service and repair of small petrol and diesel engines, basic hydraulic fitting such as hoses and seals, and similar.

This is a great role for inquisitive applicants that have a keen interest in mechanics and a workshop environment and have been trained and are experienced in plant, tool, or even perhaps automotive mechanical work, with some electrical elements.

We are looking for this position to be multi purpose, so the role will also involve an element of delivering and collecting our equipment to and from our customers sites.

A full driving licence therefore is required. A trailer, lorry and HGV licence are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• To diagnose faults and repair/ maintain a variety of small plant and tools in the fleet including compressors, mini

- excavators, dumpers, small tools etc, both on and off site

• Update equipment service records once checked and tagged
• Maintain an uptodate understanding of current Tool Hire and industry Health & Safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all legal and Company requirements
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
• Any other reasonable duties as directed by your line manager
• The safe delivery and collection of equipment, including equipment towing.
• The inspection and upkeep of company delivery vehicles as required.

Salary:
£9.50-£13.75 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Bicester: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Driving: 1 year (preferred)
