Tasks

  • TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory, a division of TÜV SÜD Ltd, is an international provider of testing, inspection and certification (TIC) services, as well as technical consultancy and R&D. We deliver to customers from a range of industries including Renewable & Sustainable Energy, Oil & Gas, Water and Government.
  • Over the last four years we have developed significant capability in hydrogen and CCUS sectors, and have more recently started offering a range of services related to sustainability. All of these fall under our Green Energy and Sustainability business line, which has now grown to the extent that it requires a dedicated business development and sales manager to continue the rapid growth.
  • We are looking for someone to lead the business development and sales activity for green energy and sustainability, right through the process, from initial market engagement and profile raising, through to identification of specific opportunities, development of bids/proposals/quotes and managing the sales process through to receipt of purchase order.

Qualifications

  • Our competitive advantage is our knowledge and most of our services are bespoke to each customer, so a good technical background in order to be able to understand the needs of our customers and be able to work with our technical teams to provide tailored solutions is essential.
  • Highly customer orientated, with a good network in the energy sector, including at least one of hydrogen, CCUS or sustainability
  • Be genuinely enthusiastic about and committed to the energy transition and drive to netzero
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to interface with stakeholders at all levels
  • Broad strategic and political knowledge of the decarbonised energy sector, most especially hydrogen and CCUS
  • Broad strategic and political knowledge related to sustainability, including knowledge of the prevailing and emerging regulations and legislation, voluntary codes and standards
  • Knowledge of relevant documentary standards, regulations and legislation related to the hydrogen and CCUS sectors
