Client Money Controls Coordinator - ARD Hybrid / Leeds

Purpose of the Role


An exciting new opportunity has been created to join our Client Money Control team as a Co-Ordinator reporting to our Client Money Audit, Control & Treasury Manager.

You will oversee the successful completion of quarterly attestations and further enhancements of the Firms Client Money Controls to ensure there is a strong and robust Client Money Regulatory environment across all of legal entities.

The role also requires monthly Client Money reporting and analytics, identifying areas of improvement and driving to resolution.


This is expected to be a hybrid role with 2 days per week in our Leeds office but for someone with more experience and who will require less training, we can consider remote based in the UK.


What you will do
This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities.

Collaborating with your line manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following:


  • Oversee and proactively review Client Money controls within online risk event portal (working alongside management to collate control evidence, review performance of controls and enhancements to control environment).
  • Coordinate quarterly client money control attestations with key stakeholders.
  • Implement new and enhance existing controls where required.
  • Maintain the Advisory CASS Risk Assessment document, ensuring all risks have sufficient associated to controls.
  • Prepare client money MI as required for reporting purposes.
  • Ensure the central breach register (for CASS 5) is accurate and up to date.
  • Fulfil your responsibilities in line with agreed processes in order to achieve agreed objectives, and in doing so, ensure compliance with the client and insurer money rules as per FCA Client Asset Sourcebook.

Qualifications and Experience

Essentially, we are seeking someone with:

  • Experience in a finance environment within a regulated finance services organisation, preferably a large complex corporate environment.
  • MS Excel to at least an intermediate level.
  • Analytical and investigative skills, logical reasoning and problemsolving skills individually and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
  • Strong communication skills across all mediums as you will be communicating with stakeholders at all levels including very senior Finance Directors.
