    Your Capco Day/Core Responsibilities

    • Conducting business analysis to gain understanding for data definition and usage.
    • Working closely with subject matter experts & data architects to analyse data requirements & produce and update logical and physical data models.
    • Identifying data entities and describing relationships between them based on business context, process, and existing systems.
    • Supporting intra-system data design and embedding of metadata management behaviours.
    • Generating the physical implementation of the data model.
    • Execution of governance related activities, including review forums and project delivery in adherence to standards.

    Required Experience

    • Strong data modelling experience within the financial services industry working on large scale data migration programmes.
    • Good understanding of financial reference data and experience with FS industry standard models (e.g. fpML, FIX, FIBO) is highly preferred.
    • Data modelling skills and solid understanding of conceptual, logical and physical models.
    • Stakeholder Management experience and skills - able to converse with all levels of stakeholders to understand and extract business requirements.
    • Project lifecycle implementation experience including familiarity with agile projects.
    • Understanding of UML and/or logical data models.
    • Understanding of RDBMS's and proficiency with SQL.
    • Understanding and experience of modelling semi-structured schemas such as JSON and/or XML.
    • Experience with data modelling tools e.g. Sparx Enterprise Architect, Erwin modelling software, Power designer, Visual Paradigm or similar.
    • Experience with curating ontologies and experience with RDF/OWL/TTL is highly preferred.
