United Plant Services is an engineering and asset management business, renowned for providing market leading engineering support and fleet management for Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) within the quarry and waste industry.

We are part of The Briggs Equipment Group who are a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland.

The Impact you will have:


  • Accurate processing of engineer's job reports through to final invoicing
  • Helping create and manage WIP (Work in Progress) reports
  • Asisting in processing quotes from both internal and external sources
  • Supporting whole service team by answering customer calls and logging jobs during busy periods
  • Creating accurate invoicing ensuring that the text reflects the appropriate detail on the job report and is in line with the companies expected standards and suitable for customer scrutiny
  • Assisting in the pursuit of outstanding supplier invoices raise PO's where required
  • Logging and process incoming invoices from third party suppliers
  • Chasing up suppliers for outstanding job reports and invoices
  • Optimising business opportunities to generate additional revenue and reduce costs where possible
  • Helping in in the process of getting Purchase Orders from customers where required
  • Capturing service data and activity from internal systems
  • Company Health and Safety guidelines to be followed at all times, both internally and externally, ensuring our colleagues and customers are safe
  • Maintaining effective communication with both internal and external customers keeping them informed and managing their expectations at all times
  • Ensuring customers are given the highest standard of Service with effective followup and problem resolution
  • Supporting with the training of new team members
  • Actively promote team working ethic and provide support to cover colleagues as and when necessary
  • Professionally sell the benefits of United Plant Services
  • Undertaking any reasonable task requested by line manager

What will help you to excel in this role:

  • Experience of a busy service-related business environment
  • Knowledge and experience of working with electronic data driven systems and main frames (CRM etc')
  • Excellent numeracy skills and experience of invoicing processes
  • Ability to create reports from random data driven sources
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work within a close team environment
  • Able to work staggered shift pattern
  • Ability to convey company values during interaction with others
