Job Purpose (Hybrid role, after 3 months)


Workwell Outsourcing is a specialist funding and back-office support to the Recruitment Sector, as part of the wider Workwell Group.

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join the team, reporting to and supporting the Financial Controller.

You willbe responsible for the timely production of Management Accounts for all group companies (currently 8 companies), as well as overseeing reconciliation of key control accounts as part of the weekly operational cycle.

This role is a key part of the Group's longterm development plan and there are opportunities for the role to evolve and develop as the Group grows.

We have aspirations to continue on its growth trajectory. The role will be based as the Group's new offices at Wharfbank Mills in Otley.


Key Tasks

  • Responsible for completing monthly management reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • In time, develop and refine the monthly reporting.
  • Input into the production of the monthly board pack.
  • Oversee reconciliation of key control accounts as part of the weekly operational cycle to help manage risk at a customer level.
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with continued development and implementation of the Group's control environment.
  • Working alongside the small finance team to help support the growth and success of the Group.
  • Engagement with agency customers to explain key reporting and deal with queries
  • Other projects and adhoc requirements as required to support the FC and FD.

Role Requirements

  • Part Qualified or qualified ACA or CIMA. Applicants looking for a first move from practice is welcomed.
  • Well organised and an ability to use time wisely and efficiently.
  • Positive attitude and motivated to succeed as part of growing Group of Companies.
  • Dependable and committed to delivering high quality work.
  • Ability to problem solve and identify solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and nonfinancial stakeholders.
  • Experience with Sage and Xero preferable but not essential.
