The Role

We're looking for a Head of Operations to join our Operations Team at Impression.

The role will work closely with our Finance and People teams and provide support to our delivery/performance and commercial teams in helping us to achieve our business objectives.

The Head of Operations is responsible for the operational activities within the agency. The role will hold responsibility for operational objectives and key results and work as part of Impression's management team.

Their focus would be primarily on the agency's day-to-day operations but also starting to think more broadly and longer term, considering both the current and future financial years.


The role will oversee resource management, develop scalable processes, support the drafting and negotiation of customer and third-party contracts including the interface with legal counsel, manage risk and oversee change management.

The role will ensure the operations aspect of the business is able to deliver against existing and future business growth objectives.


Responsibilities

As the Head of Operations, you will:

  • Drive growth through smart resource deployment, embedding supporting systems (e.g. ERP) into the business units as a key enabler.
  • Identify opportunities for & facilitate execution of operational offload of transactional activities.
  • Work with the People Director to develop a framework for managing/mitigating surge capacity demands.
  • Evaluate overall operational performance by gathering, analysing and interpreting data and metrics.
  • Identify opportunities and execute solutions for operational efficiency (resource allocation, technology and process improvements).
  • Undertake currentstate assessment of key business processes and develop future state (in conjunction with Dept. Heads/Directors). Define a roadmap to achieve future state and change manage implementation.
  • Responsible for defining and delivering optimised fitforpurpose processes/policies in support of Commercial and Performance organisation units, coordinating implementation between departments.
  • Develop a culture of Continuous Improvement throughout the business.
  • Work with the People Director to manage and maintain performance and utilisation of delivery teams across the business
  • Develop a Risk Management framework to support tactical activities and inform strategic thinking.
  • Manage regulatory compliance.
  • Closely working with HoD/Directors to proactively identify systems, tools, processes, facilities and policies required to deliver business objectives.
  • Develop & implement a Quality Management System.
  • Develop a business case for ISO9001 (or similar) accreditation and attain it if appropriate.
  • Develop business case for business sustainability (green) accreditation and implement/attain if appropriate.
  • Responsible for Impression's framework contract, including developing legal fallback positions with defined approval requirements for adhoc use in negotiations and update/augment the framework contract as required.
  • Own Impression's strategy for legal support for customer and third party contracts & be responsible for its administration.
  • Support contract negotiations when required, including coaching of employees.
  • Develop a framework for capturing key customer contract metadata.
  • Develop a framework for reviewing contract commercial performance.
  • Develop & deliver basic legal commercial awareness training to employees in externally facing roles (e.g. making commitments on behalf of the company, IP considerations).
  • Work with the HoG/CD on improving the bid issued to contract signed conversion rate.
  • Manage the existing and future procurement requirements.
