Job description:

As Personal Assistant to the Director, you will provide invaluable support to help us keep everything running smoothly. You'll be a direct point of contact for everyone from senior colleagues to external stakeholders across government.


You will need to have good communication skills (written and verbal) and excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, provide excellent customer service, and be IT literate.

Person specification:


  • Preparing all diary logistics, including paperwork and briefing material, ensuring that the Director is always in the correct location, with the correct papers and aware of upcoming appointments
  • Managing the directors' schedule, arranging meetings to ensure sufficient time for priorities, travel, desktime and arranging travel and accommodation when necessary
  • Interacting with colleagues within the Customer directorate, external stakeholders and throughout RPA. Being alert to key issues, commissioning briefs, setting deadlines and chasing responses
  • Engaging with internal and external colleagues to build and maintain strong relationships to take care of diary issues effectively

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience of diary management and triaging incoming correspondence with an ability to assess priorities and flag any concerns with appropriate actions
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to take responsibility and work with mínimal supervision
  • Excellent administration skills, able to express yourself both orally and in writing clearly
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Establishing and managing effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
