Our client is looking for an Account Manager to join their team in Blackpool, FY4 4QE


Salary:
£35,000 annum


Account Manager Responsibilities

  • Account management of a specified account list, and development of new product opportunities within the customer portfolio to increase customer spend.
  • Highlighting, qualifying and building relationships with new potential customers across different sectors.
  • Reviewing and identifying new market trends, and positioning them to current customers and new prospects to generate new business.
  • Creating, negotiating and closing commercial agreements.
  • Liaise with Purchasing, Sales and Technical departments to cost products.
  • Supporting the rest of the sales team when necessary.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, suppliers and coworkers.
  • Liaise with purchasing and production departments to ensure delivery dates are met.
  • Continually update computer records with relevant information such as pricing, status, delivery dates, raw materials etc.
  • Deal with all customer enquiries / complaints in an efficient, professional & courteous manner and to the required standard and guidelines as set out by Nutrition Group.
  • Set up new products and packing specifications, liaising with customers for approval.
  • Maintain regular contact with the customers for which you have internal account responsibility, including customer order report management.
  • Daily/Monthly generation of management information to support decision making.
  • Provide formulations and samples to customers / suppliers where appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, customers and suppliers.
  • Confidently lead customer meetings both internally and externally.
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management.
  • Carrying out any work which the company may from time to time deem necessary, such as attending trade shows.
  • Provide general administrative support to a high standard and within set deadlines.

Account Manager Requirements

  • 2 years sales experience with exceptional customer relationship building skills.
  • Selfmotivated with strong team working skills, able to support and work with team members whilst being able to challenge your colleagues and management team.
  • Good coordinator, able to balance driven business targets with daily demands and fluctuation in work load.
  • IT knowledge and skills, including the use and interpretation of excel reports and use of bespoke systems.
  • Good communication and organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
  • The ability to represent the company on a face to face basis together with a good telephone manner.
  • Be able to adapt quickly and problem solve.
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Reliability.
  • Respect the importance of confidentiality.
