Role:
Learning Support Assistant

Location:
Brentwood

Hours: 08:30am - 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)

To start:
After half term

**Main Roles & Responsibilities

May be needed to work on a 1:1 basis with a selected pupil encouraging and supporting the work set by the class teacher.
Shadow the pupil during all lessons throughout the day and potentially during lunch time.
Ensuring all pupils are work ready with all the correct equipment and is on time.
During the lessons you may need to prevent potential disruption that may occur, deescalating situations and stepping in to remove the pupil from the lesson if needed.
Establish productive working relationships with the pupil and set expectations.
To give positive encouragement, feedback, and praise to reinforce pupils' efforts and develop selfesteem.
Promote the inclusion of pupils and encourage pupils to interact with each other.
Positive, energetic, and patient.
Has the ability to use their own initiative in challenging situations that may arise.
Takes the handson approach and is always ready to support the pupil and class teacher.
Able to have the ability to develop strong relationships between the pupil.
Passionate for working with the special educational need's environment.
Able to keep calm under pressure.
Motivational and has a supportive nature.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
