Learning Support Assistant


Location:
Brentwood


Hours: 08:30am - 3:30pm (Monday to Friday)


To start:
After half term

**Main Roles & Responsibilities

  • May be needed to work on a 1:1 basis with a selected pupil encouraging and supporting the work set by the class teacher.
  • Shadow the pupil during all lessons throughout the day and potentially during lunch time.
  • Ensuring all pupils are work ready with all the correct equipment and is on time.
  • During the lessons you may need to prevent potential disruption that may occur, deescalating situations and stepping in to remove the pupil from the lesson if needed.
  • Establish productive working relationships with the pupil and set expectations.
  • To give positive encouragement, feedback, and praise to reinforce pupils' efforts and develop selfesteem.
  • Promote the inclusion of pupils and encourage pupils to interact with each other.
  • Positive, energetic, and patient.
  • Has the ability to use their own initiative in challenging situations that may arise.
  • Takes the handson approach and is always ready to support the pupil and class teacher.
  • Able to have the ability to develop strong relationships between the pupil.
  • Passionate for working with the special educational need's environment.
  • Able to keep calm under pressure.
  • Motivational and has a supportive nature.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
