Warrington, North West (Hybrid)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within one of Europe's leading multi-disciplined organisations, who are globally recognised and employ over 3000 staff across the UK and afar.
This well-established company have seen tremendous year-on-year growth and dueto continued success, are looking to recruit an ambitious IT Security Analyst to join their team.
As an IT Security Analyst, you will be monitoring traffic across the organisations computer network and assessing security systems, identifying and patching network vulnerabilities and improving overall cyber resilience across the organisation.
To be successful, the IT Security Analyst will be skilled in as many of the following: Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Desktop, Windows Servers , Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Microsoft 365, AWS, WAN/LAN, Security Engineering, SIEM & MITREATT&CK.
As an IT Security Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing, monitoring and managing security standards and processes to improve cyber resilience of cloud based and on-premises systems
- Using SIEM and UEBA tools to track and analyse any potential cyber threats
- Performing security and risk analysis to pinpoint vulnerabilities
- Presenting improvement strategies to clients to improve company security
- Updating security systems regularly to avoid any potential cyberattacks
- Performing security audits
The successful IT Security Analyst will have the following:
- A minimum of two years' experience working within a Cyber Security Analyst/Network Security Analyst role
- GICSP or CISSP qualified
- Proven experience with Vulnerability Assessments, Penetration Testing & Generating Reports
- Understanding of security assessment processes and industry compliance standards such as Cyber Essentials, ISO27001 etc
- Knowledge of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management)
- The ability to interpret technical data to nontechnical staff
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- The ability to work well individually with mínimal supervision, as well as part of a team
- Full UK driving license with a flexible approach to travel (EU travel may be required on rare occasions)
