Nursery Room Leader - East London*- Full time - 40 hours*- Salary 27k*- Toddler Room position*Your first responsibility is to be an outstanding nursery officer providing an example of excellent childcare practice, conduct and professionalism to the other nursery staff.

You must have a thorough understanding of the nursery policies and procedures relevant to your role with additional emphasis on your knowledge and understanding of the nursery safeguarding policy.

You should ensure compliance with all current legislation and guidance which governs our activities including the appropriate sections of the Children's Acts 1989 and 2006 as well as all current health and safety, race relations legislation and the EYFS.

As Room Leader you are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the staff and children in your care.

The children's needs must be put at the forefront of how you organise your room and the nursery day and at all times your highest priority must be to provide a safe, secure, caring and stimulating environment.

This must be done within the framework of the EYFS and you must ensure that you meet the developmental needs of each individual child.

You are expected to be an integral part of your staff team providing hands on leadership as well as nurturing and supporting their needs and professional development.

You will be expected to work closely with managers and other nursery staff to create a positive environment in the nursery and to build close ties and relationships with parents and carers.

You must have the highest regard and dedication to ensuring the nursery is the best it can be at all times.

Additionally, we met the cost of further training online and staff will have the time back.
