An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of Clinical Support Division Governance team. You will join a dynamic and well established Governance team within Clinical Support Division.
You will work closely with the Quality and Patient Safety Lead and Deputy Governance Lead and will have the opportunity to work with the wider senior management team within the division.
You will be motivated and enthusiastic team player with excellent organisational and communication skills with attention to detail.The role will involve supporting all teams to have oversight management and learning from incident, risks and quality outcomes. You will be responsible for co-ordinating the day to day for Quality and Safety in Clinical Support Division.
This role offers a unique opportunity for the post holder to support the division leadership team in effectively managing the division's governance arrangements in relation in order to provide effective, efficient and patient safety focused services.
Main duties of the jobClinical Support Division Quality and Safety Team
Band 5 Clinical Governance Facilitator
The Clinical Governance Facilitator will support the Clinical Support Division in the coordination and oversight of all aspects of quality and patient safety across the Division.
You will work with the Division Governance Team, and colleagues across the division to embed the quality and patient safety agenda throughout all the pathways with the Division.
The governance facilitator will analyse IT systems and provide regular activity and trend analysis data for the division, and provide specialist analytical support and interpretation to colleagues within the division.
You will work within the Clinical Support quality and safety team supporting 5 pathways of different specialties.
The division quality and safety team includes a Governance Facilitator, Deputy Governance Lead, Division Director for Governance and Division Lead for Quality and Patient Safety.
Provide data and information for the specialty teams across the Division to enable teams to deliver an effective Clinical Governance agenda.
Facilitate and support the development of annual clinical governance programmes within the Division and to ensure all staff groups can contribute to the development of clinical governance programmes.
Support teams with oversight of clinical audit, taking account national and local priorities, such as national reports and guidance papers e.g.
Establish effective working relationships with clinical colleagues from all professions to ensure that decisions are well-informed, evidence based and risks managed.
Develop and maintain a Divisional record base to provide evidence towards Care Quality Commission Standards, collating the Divisional Risk Register and alerting specialty teams to review and update in line with Trust Governance Framework.
Provide regular updates to the Division on progress made in the delivery of the annual clinical governance programme and specific activities, making them aware of potential problems or obstacles.
Support staff undertaking clinical audit based on the results of complaints, critical incidents, risk management issues and/or evidence of effectiveness.
Understanding the value of information and how data may be turned into business intelligence and used to solve problems.
Produce reports, activity and trend analysis data for the Division on a regular basis, adhering to Divisional, Trust and national deadlines.
