Are you a skilled Business Analyst looking to take the next steps in your career?

This top educational institution is seeking a driven and motivated Business Analyst to join their team You have the opportunity to be a part of digital transformation projects at this top UK university.

This is a hybrid role based in Edinburgh with a minimumof one day per week in the office.


Main Responsibilities:


  • To provide business analysis skills and expertise to projects and other activities which enhance the way the University delivers professional and academic services for its students and staff through the effective and efficient use of business processes,data and IT systems _
  • Providing business analysis skills and expertise for projects and project proposals
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Identify and enable opportunities for continuous development of business analysis activities by providing support
  • Proactively contribute to and support the wider leadership team
  • Experience of business process redesign and implementation with approaches to managing change successfully
  • Deep understanding of industry standard business analysis tolls and techniques
  • Ability to produce clear outputs, including workshop outputs, AS-IS and TO-BE scenarios
  • Work independently and maintain a high standard of delivery
  • Strong communication skills customer focused experience and the ability to create and maintain strong relationships
  • Highly organised and excellent time management skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to tackle challenges strategically
  • Be a team player with the ability to maintain good colleague relationships

Desirable Skills:


  • Experience of working in an Agile project environment, using Agile business analysis techniques e.g. User Stories (D)
  • Experience working as a project manager (D)
  • Experience developing test scripts and related testing resources and an understanding of testing principles. (D)
  • Experience of specifying data analysis, operational reporting and strategic reporting (business intelligence) solutions
