Description

NHSE is looking for one full time and one part time Immunisation Coordinator to cover Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes (Herts, BLMK).

This will be a temporary contract/secondment initially until February 29th, 2024, however due to maternity cover requirements we hope that it will be possible to extend this.

Do you haverecent clinical experienceadministering vaccines on the UK routine immunisation programme or other significant experience of immunisation programmes? We are looking for Immunisation Coordinators with relevant skills and experience who would like to play a part in shaping vaccination services across (Herts BLMK).

Please note that the reason for the fixed term of your contract is maternity leave.

The role is varied and requires an inquisitive mind alongside relevant experience.

Your focus will be immunisation, but you will be part of the wider screening and immunisation team in the East of England.

Immunisation Coordinator

"I started in the role four years ago, straight from more than a decade nursing in general practice. In this role I have been involved in so many varied projects. I have developed update programmes and newsletters, talked on the radio, learnt to chair meetings, and become more confident with Excel. I had ideas to improve quality of service and uptake and was encouraged to follow them through. I have learned things about the immunisation schedule I never knew and, even more surprisingly, things about myself I never knew.

If you want to expand your knowledge and put your stamp on vaccination programmes delivery locally (and nationally), apply. Working for NHS England and closely with UKHSA will open a whole new set of doors.

If this sounds like something, you would like to be part of then we would really like you to apply.

This is an exciting role that offers many opportunities to develop within the role including participating in the wider public health initiatives within Herts, BLMK and East of England.
