The Leanne Pero Foundation is seeking a Head of Operations
Working hours; full time (hybrid/flexible working available)

Office:
South East London and from home
Salary £35,000 per annum

Reporting to:
The Board of Trustees

We are a fast paced and forward-thinking organisation that delivers on a wide range of initiatives and projects where no two days are the same.

From organising events, to attending meeting with high profile partners and stake holders, to managing day to day activities and services - you will hit the ground running working in sync with the founder herself and with the support of a small team of creatives, project staff and admin.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Provide leadership and vision to achieve TLPF's mission and goals
  • Project management
  • Develop and deliver a strong business plan that includes a fundraising strategy that is financially sustainable and resilient
  • Implement and develop the strategic organisational plan with a focus on income generation
  • Responsible for achieving, monitoring, and reporting on performance against targets in all areas of activity, taking appropriate action as required
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement throughout
  • Champion and advocate for better outcomes for POC and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and management
  • Oversee the management of all social media channels and website
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are maintained, up to date and adhered to
  • Act as a positive ambassador at all times
  • Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required from time to time
  • Oversee all aspects of service quality and standards, including contractual requirements, ensuring robust safeguarding and GDPR principles are in place and up to date
  • Ensure safeguarding issues are managed effectively
  • Problem management, trouble shooting

Finance

  • Oversee budgets, expenditure, and management accounts, ensuring income and expenditure is within business plan targets
  • Manage activities within budget and contractually compliant.
  • Work with the Trustees to ensure effective financial planning and identify risks

Partnership Management

  • Represent TLPF among external stakeholders including the community, partner organisations, local authorities and maintain and develop relations with these and other appropriate bodies
  • Develop existing relationships
  • Attend networking events and meetings with potential donors
  • Build relationships with external stakeholders, charitable trusts, and local authorities to build relationships and secure funding
  • Work with local stakeholders at all levels to ensure understanding of issues facing beneficiaries
  • Ensure the beneficiaries receive timely, effective advice and guidance

People Management

  • Staff recruitment, management, and development
  • Staff training and enhancement
  • Develop the current skill sets of the team to be positioned against new services
  • Develop a culture to motivate staff to provide a highqualityservice

Grants and funded project management

  • Coordinate and oversee fundraising across the organisations
  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities to achieve annual income target
  • Prepare reports and presentations on fundraising progress to the trustee board

About you


You'll be an experienced operations manager, ideally having overseen large projects and will have the knowledge needed to balance both operational and strategic aspects of both organisations.

Outstanding people leadership qualities will be vital - you'll direct, develop, and manage a team with confidence. What's more, you will inspire and motivate those around you to deliver the very best levels of service.

With outstanding interpersonal skills and experience working with a multi-disciplinary team, you build strong, lasting relationships, and enjoy working collaboratively with a range of partners and high-profile stakeholders.


Essential Skills

Qualifications (desirable)

  • Ideally hold a project management qualification or relevant experience (desirable)
  • A background in the arts and cultural sector or third sector (desirable)
