About the role

Position Overview_

The Hacienda Apartments is one of the best known and prestigious developments in Manchester. The front desk and concierge service sets a tone for the residents that have made their home there.


In the role of Concierge, you will be the face of the development and interaction with the residents to the highest standard is needed to ensure that communication with residents, guests, contractors, and the Team both onsite and at Head office is excellent at all times.

To succeed in the role, you will be a natural people person with great communication skills.


You will need to be organised, responsible, efficient and take responsible for the delivery of high quality internal and external communal estate areas (including building entrances/receptions, lifts, lift lobbies, corridors, car parks, internal and external circulation space, public areas, and bin stores) to ensure these are presented at all times in a manner that is second to none.

Essential Job Functions

  • At the commencement of your shift, check the site logbook for any relevant information and note any points of action for the forthcoming shift.
  • Assist residents where possible to ensure they provide a service which is second to none.
  • Ensure all visitors are correctly received into the development and sign in and out.
  • Handle small parcels where residents are unavailable to collect them, using the company parcel system.
  • Patrol site throughout the night and bring to the attention of areas of concern to the Building Manager or Property Manager (following morning via the site handover book).
  • Complete building checks on site during the shift, ensuring the buildings are trouble free and doors, gates and lights are working correctly.
  • Monitor use of external areas and deter misuse. Staff must not put himself/herself at personal risk.
  • Reporting of maintenance / security / resident issues to you the Building Manager or Property Manager in the shift commencement process each morning.
  • On inspections of the development, remove any litter from the estate or within the buildings which can be easily collected by hand.
  • To give guidance and assistance to client/residents in a willing and friendly manner if requested.
  • Monitor usage of the car park (if applicable) and appropriately deal with unauthorised vehicles and assist residents wherever possible.
  • To ensure that the removal of all waste is conducted in an efficient and effective manner. To ensure the communal bins are available for collection on the appropriate day(s)/nights(s) and immediately returned to the bin store(s) following collection.
  • Ensure that all visiting contractors if attending out of hours are registered and that they understand that they must take all practical precautions to ensure that their activities do not compromise the resident's enjoyment of the building (noise outside of normal working hours) and that the visiting contractors comply with Health and Safety requirements and any other procedures that the client may wish to implement.
  • Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas.
  • Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping of the front desk areas, keeping the building tidy (i.e., picking litter and dusting whilst doing Building walks)
  • Notify management of deficiencies or repairs required.
  • At all times whilst on site to conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner.
  • To develop and demonstrate a working understanding of the building(s) you are responsible for, including fire alarms, utilities, and CCTV systems (if applicable).
  • At all times whilst on site to ensure personal appearance is professional and to wear the Livingcity uniform provided.
  • Not to enter any apartments within the development without the express permission of your superiors.
