Job Summary:

We are seeking some compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team at Sherrington house, We are a 48 bed care home on the outskirts of Ipswich.

We strive to enable our residents to live as they choose.

As a Care Assistant in our team, you will provide essential support to individuals. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, personal care, and ensuring the overall well-being of our residents.

Duties:

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
Help with mobility and transfers, including the use of mobility aids
Support residents in maintaining a clean and safe living environment
Assist with meals and adhering to dietary requirements
Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with residents.
Document resident observations and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor
Follow care plans and ensure that individualized needs are met

Experience:

Previous experience in health and social is desired but not essential
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Basic IT skills for documentation purposes

Shift Patterns : 7am-2pm, 2pm-9pm (you are expected to work a mixture), including every other weekend.
