Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary circa £35K per annum - dependent on experience.

Mon - Thursday (08:00 - 17:00)

Fri (08:00 - 14:00)

The Client
Our client is one of the UK's largest manufacturers of cleaning technology machinery.

The Role

Design and develop products that comply with customer, provide technical and engineering support to customer and onsite teams. Ensure products are designed, manufactured, and tested in a safe
Generate accurate equipment and component models and drawings to the required level of detail, tolerancing and information to support the manufacturing and purchasing processes.
Create product data including technical specifications, technical construction files, bills of material and bills of process.
23 years' experience of working as a Design Engineer in an industrial product manufacturing and supply environment.
Knowledge and understanding of design processes including New Product Development (NPD), Design for Manufacture (DFM), Design for Service (DFS) and Change Management Control.
Knowledge and understanding of CE marking including the Machinery Directive, Technical Construction File (FCF) and safety standards requirements.
Experience of using design soft packages, preferably Solid works, 2D Draughting and PDM packages
Ability to work under pressure, within tight deadlines, with flexible approach to working hours and a motivated team player.
