About the role

SZC is owned by two shareholders, EDF and HMG, and holds investments through NNB Holdings Company (SZC) Limited. The shareholdings of the two shareholders will change over time.

The shareholders will fund SZC until Financial Close through equity as per the approved schedule. SZC's business entails designing, financing, constructing, commissioning, operating, maintaining, and eventually decommissioning the nuclear power plant at Sizewell C in Suffolk.

Prior to the government investment decision, SZC operated under EDF in the Nuclear Development unit and is now transitioning its staff to direct employment. Its current focus is on becoming capable of delivering a new nuclear power plant.

What you'll be doing

Managing and coordinating construction engineering for Enabling Works and Earthworks
Ensuring Engineering Delivery Excellence through adoption of best practices
Engaging with Pre-Construction teams to finalize methods engineering
Overseeing supply chain engineering performance and digital transformation
Oversight of data capture on site for performance and quality records

Who we're looking for

Essential qualifications and skills include knowledge of design processes, construction experience, leadership, good communication, and project management skills. Desirable skills are good digital skills, marine structures, and deep foundations knowledge.
