This role sits within the Royal Navy Domestic Engagement Team (RNDET) and operates a mixed civilian and military team who delivers domestic engagement activity, maintaining and enhancing the Royal Navy's strategic approach to engagement within the UK.
The post holder will work across all areas within the wider domestic engagement team, including the Naval Regional Commands, Parliamentary Engagement, Mobile Engagement, Maritime Enterprise and the Royal Marines Band Service, providing advice and support to wider RN's activity, as well as identifying engagement activity for the RN's senior leadership team comprising First Sea Lord, Second Sea Lord and the Fleet Commander.
The Royal Navy Domestic Engagement Team (RNDET) works to build and maintain relationships with influential individuals and organisations across a range of priority areas, helping to explain the role and relevance of the Royal Navy and the links and benefits that exist right across the UK, listening to the needs of different audiences, and fostering advocates for the Royal Navy.
The RNDET is accountable for all RN Domestic Engagement (RNDE) activity across the UK, through ownership of a RNDE plan, oversight of activity and a planning and governance structure.
