You will undertake any planned maintenance, reactive and unplanned breakdown repairs and new installation work to he building fabric, fixtures and fittings in order to ensure a safe and compliant estate within healthcare premises.
You'll do this work without routine supervision and will be out on site so you will need to be self motivated and able to manage your own time.
You will be responsible for undertaking ad hoc and planned condition surveys and ensuring that the estate is of the required standards to ensure our patients, staff and visitors are safe, and provided care in a therapeutic environment.
You'll play a full and active part in a multi-disciplinary estates team with a high level of cross trade flexibility.
Given the nature of the systems and their importance to the NHS and patient safety you will have a track record of working to a high standard of accuracy and safety.
To undertake without routine supervision; planned maintenance, breakdown repairs and new installation work within healthcare premises working on various projects, ensuring compliance and maintaining key safety elements including but not limited too:- Fire doors
- Anti Barricade Systems
- Locks and Ironmongery
- Building fabric
- Minor New Works Projects
- Patient safety lead projects
- Backlog and environmental improvement works
- Standardisation
- Grounds and Gardens Contract Management and performance
- Asbestos Management
- Carrying out condition surveys and Audits
