Project ManagerCambridge (2 days per week on site)
9 months
£450-£500 per day inside IR35
Main duties and responsibilities
- Develop detailed project outlines and plan (including full Gantt chart, key deliverables and delivery dates)
- Oversee the overall daytoday coordination of the project. Responsible for the development and maintenance of appropriate administration systems and procedures to ensure the project is delivered on time, to budget and to the quality standards agreed withthe Programme lead
- Promote the strategy and decisions to the appropriate stakeholders/teams and define strategies to implement these decisions. Organise and chair management meetings
- Identify gaps within the project plan and current resources, as well as ongoing and emerging risks. Develop and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration and agreement
- Lead the delivery of the required project documentation and update documents (e.g. core project documents, papers, draft meeting agendas, minutes etc.). Develop and improve management systems and processes to ensure quality and audit trails are maintainedwith the study coordinator team. Oversee the design and delivery of the project documentation including project database and project status updates in line with best practice.
- Manage contracts with thirdparty providers and ensure these meet the required standards
- Finance: monitor the project expenditure against budget and report on project finances
- Carry out data analysis on aspects of the project and produce reports to upper management. Gather, and present data, compile reports, prepare/draft
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast changing and developing environment that requires continual enhancement of knowledge and skills
- Excellent team and stakeholder management skills
- A logical, pragmatic approach to project management and the ability to adapt a project management approach to meet the needs of any required delivery process
- Knowledge of a variety of software development methods (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Jira)
- Ability to support, promote and implement change and innovation; to encourage the adoption of new methods and overcome barriers to acceptance
- Identify and proactively manage important risks, issues and problems effectively
- Able to communicate effectively and appropriately with senior management, external collaborates and with people at all levels
