I am a young lady living in Earlsheaton, Dewsbury. I live in an adapted bungalow and have a pet tortoise. I have very complex medical conditions, and require skilled and dedicated complex care assistants to join my team. Despite my challenging conditions it does not stop me from enjoying life to the fullest

If you work for me you will assist me in all aspects of my daily life from assistance with washing and dressing, basic domiciliary duties, meal prep and more skilled tasks such as JEJ tubes, injections & syringe drivers and assisting me in IVs line care (training provided).

But you will also chat to me, partake in activities such as baking, knitting, fused glass making in my home kiln and a myriad of other hobbies I enjoy.

Despite needing a significant amount of help, I do like to try have some independence. You will be trained in all aspects of the role & I will guide you while performing tasks.

There will be times when I am sleeping as I get a lot of fatigue and you will have some downtime, other times I may want you to sit and watch tv or have a chat to me.

You will become part of a wider team of PAs, previous PA's in this position have gained a range of new skills both care/clinical and also by me teaching you my hobbies such as knitting, how to make a glass dish or jewellery or some of my yummy baking treats which you always get to sample.

This is a great position if you're looking for a highly varied role, wanting to provide that 1:1 support and make a difference to my life.

Pay & Shifts:

Pay is £12 hr ( with pay rises / reviews depending on qualifications/training)

Shifts done via rota - all breaks are paid breaks. You enter availability on rota system and are allocated shifts, looking for bank, part time and full time staff to work days and nights.

Main shift times are;:

Awake Night 10pm-10am_

Awake nights involve assisting with care tasks at intervervals throughout the night, there will be down time to rest but you are paid to stay awake like a normal day shift._

You will be required to work 2 or 3 night shifts per week. You could do one week 2 night shifts, the second week 3 night shifts._

You can also opt to work days, earlier and late shifts if covering for someone, but this role is for those who primarily want night shifts 10pm10am._

Other shift times:

*Ability to pick up other shifts or occasionally trade days with notice*
Annual Leave - Statutory Entitlement

The person im looking for:

I am looking for a motivated and organised individual who is outgoing and friendly. I need someone with an excellent grasp of English and can communicate well.

I appreciate good conversation and having fun, so I would be looking for someone who has a good sense of humour, who is an excellent communicator as well as an active listener.

Ideally you are able to drive, flexible, reliable, respectful and friendly and have similar interests plus an open mind.
