CK Group are recruiting for a Supplier Quality Manager (SQM) to work for a global pharmaceutical & medical device company on an initial 12 month contract basis.

The role is remote based, but with office visits required on occasion for team meetings.


Location:

Home / field based but with travel to the office.


About the role:


The supplier quality manager will lead the coordination and implementation of Quality Assurance Agreements (QAA) to regulate the delineation of tasks and responsibilities and to define, among other things, requirements, specifications and contact persons (acrosssites, within the company and externally with suppliers & service providers).


As Primary Process Owner for QAAs you will:

  • Customise, review and negotiate QAAs with critical suppliers and other affiliates and define quality requirements.
  • Participation in the Global Community of Practice to exchange with other colleagues on the topic of QAAs.
  • Conduct a repeat review of all QAAs.
  • Maintenance of an overview list of all existing contracts.
  • Close exchange with purchasing department and other stakeholders.
  • Support procurement with the classification of new suppliers.
  • Determine the type of evaluation/reevaluation required for new and existing suppliers.
  • Conduct Supplier audits/evaluations as and when required

Person Specification:


  • Experience in Supplier Quality Management in the medical device or diagnostics industry expertise in IVDs preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical device quality system requirements
  • Working with confidential information
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory affairs, especially European and GB regulations
  • Maintenance of quality documentation
  • Experience in QAA processes required for Economic Operator compliance with IVDR
  • Contract negotiating
  • Experience managing suppliers
  • Familiarity with supplier qualification standards, for example ISO
