Operations Assistant


We're a small and friendly business based in North Somercotes, looking for someone to join our team on a full-time basis.

We trade static caravans to a variety of customers and businesses, both in the UK and exporting to Europe.

Our business is expanding, and we need an energetic and dynamic individual to help push our business forward into the next stage of growth.

This is a varied role which includes travelling to various sites to appraise caravans, as well as local office work to assist with the sale and purchase of our stock.


Here's what the role will entail

  • Viewing and appraising caravans this will include local and national travel on a fairly regular basis.
  • Preparing caravans for sale some caravans will need setting up and preparing for sales photographs. This may include arranging furniture, emptying cupboards/surfaces and lightly cleaning caravans to a presentable standard.
  • Caravan photographs taking photos/videos of caravans and writing detailed descriptions to send to clients and post advertisements on social media.
  • Social media and website maintenance posting content on Facebook and updating our website.
  • Assisting with administration duties relevant to purchases and sales including raising invoices, sending out stock lists, updating our stock database.
  • General duties & communications we're looking for someone who is flexible and eager to put their mind to a variety of different tasks, both in the office and in our working yard.

Who we're looking for

  • Someone who has GCSE's or equivalent qualifications.
  • Someone who isn't afraid to battle the elements a large portion of this job will be based outside onsite and in our sales yard. You must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
  • An individual with a cando attitude, who will work well as part of a closeknit team. It's essential to have drive and commitment to the business.
  • Someone trustworthy and honest, we value these qualities in our employees.
  • A punctual and hardworking individual, who can work well under pressure and adapt to the everchanging working day.
  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office is preferred, but training can be provided.
  • You must have a full UK driving licence and be comfortable driving, including some longdistance trips. As you will be driving to various locations/sites to appraise caravans. You may be required to have the occasional night away depending on distance/business requirements.

Working Hours and Requirements

Salary:
£25,000.00 per year
