WHAT TO EXPECT
An exceptional opportunity awaits an experienced technical Product Owner in the Model Based Control Design field, specializing in safety software within the Propulsion Engineering team at JLR.
Operating within an Agile framework, you will play a pivotal role in defining the Product Vision and prioritizing the Backlog for the squad, orchestrating the delivery (process design, system design, software implementation, calibration, and verification) of safety software across multiple vehicle programs.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Own the purpose, vision, and outcome of the squad with support from Chapter Lead and Technical Specialist.
- Set and drive the delivery direction for the squad by prioritizing work based on business and customer impact, ensuring iterative ways of working to deliver value faster.
- Establish upfront alignment and coordination with other interacting squads or groups, ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Facilitate and participate in key agile ceremonies across colocated and remote teams, supporting the Scrum Master with an agile mindset.
- Confidently present issues and proposed feasibility solutions, providing regular status updates to all stakeholder levels. Support the squad in resolving key technical issues.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Excellent planning and prioritisation skills.
- Strong independent and teamoriented work ethic.
- Effective communication and presentation skills for complex topics.
- Agile mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
- Experience in system control design/development/delivery.
- Previous experience in a Product Owner role.
- Knowledge of ISO26262 or equivalent safety critical system development standards
