Description

Working as part of the wider Sports Product Back End function, you will be a senior member a team of Product Analysts responsible for the refinement, validation and integration of sport-betting models and data feeds as well as in the optimisation of functionalityfor multiple back-end systems.

We're looking for a statistically minded person with a background in trader or similar role to join the team in London.

For this role we have a flexible hybrid approach. Main office location will be Stratford.

What you'll be doing:

Collaborate closely with the Entain Quants function to drive consistent and continuous improvement in the accuracy of new and existing trading models through data analysis and detailed price validation testing.
Continually evaluate ways to improve efficiency within price validation.
Regularly analyse and propose optimisations of existing functionality and parameters (delays, limits, overrounds, sports logic etc) within backend systems to generate maximum benefit for both internal users and external customers
Mentor more junior members of the team to help enhance the overall capability and efficiency of the Product Analyst function.
Undertake a leading role in the delivery process of new models and trading functionality releases through rigorous User Acceptance Testing.
Prepare clear user documentation and lead 'business readiness' sessions with key stakeholders to ensure operational alignment ahead of Sports Product Back End deliveries.
Work closely with Product Managers and Business Analysts to ensure stakeholder requirements are correctly captured and constructively challenge & enhance these to ensure they deliver on the product vision.
Provide support and assistance with regards to live issues raised around Sports Product Back End models and systems.
Provide insight into improvements in both our product offering and performance through detailed analysis of internal data and competitors.
Encourage communication and collaboration across the business, team, and stakeholders in order to build strong relationships and develop cross functional working.

What we need from you:

Experience within the sports betting industry and the various features & functionality available across the sector.
Extensive past experience working for a Sportsbook (preferably in a sports trading role)
Holistic understanding of the core elements that drive the trading content of a sportsbook
Comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of sports with the ability to quickly identify the key strategies/game theory that underpin them.
Previous experience of developing/ testing sportsbetting models
Experience using/working with sportsbook backend systems and thirdparty data/pricing feeds.
Exceptional mathematical skills combined with an analytical mindset and a passion for problem solving.
Extensive knowledge of key modelling approaches used within sports betting models.
Ability to manipulate large empirical data sets to produce detailed analysis regarding predictive accuracy of models
Proficient data analysis programmes
Pragmatic approach to delivery ensuring incremental benefit across the group
Comfortable managing, liaising, and presenting to senior external or internal stakeholders
Demonstrate extensive influence at a senior level and builds networks to achieve strategic goals
Develop and maintain excellent awareness of competitor activity and regulatory constraints within the marketplace to inform the business and guide and shape the Backend Product roadmap
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate across both technical and data driven teams, ensuring crucial information is clearly articulated and easily digestible.

Desired:

Familiarity with different software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc)
Experience working in a global company
Familiarity with the various regulatory gambling/gaming requirements imposed within different territories
Experience working with a range of data analysis tools/ programmes (R, Python, SQL)
