Job Title:
Teaching Assistant (Additional Needs)

Location:
Tameside (Stalybridge, Audenshaw, and Denton)

Hours:
Full-time (8:30 AM - 4:00 PM) and Part-time (12:30 PM - 3:45 PM, 5 days a week)

Salary:
Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications

We are currently seeking Teaching Assistants to work in our schools with children who have additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and Social and Emotional Mental Health needs.

The roles will be based in Tameside, covering Stalybridge, Audenshaw, and Denton.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting pupils with additional needs in their learning and development
Providing onetoone support and leading small group activities
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to create a positive learning environment
Helping pupils to develop their social and emotional skills
Providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCo on pupils' progress
Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all times

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience of working with children with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and Social and Emotional Mental Health needs
A relevant qualification in Teaching Assistance or a similar field
A passion for working with children and supporting their development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, calm, and positive approach
An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
