**Job Description

  • What You'll Do**The Risk Reporting Specialist is responsible for preparing and analysing a suite of risk reports to ensure that all trade, market risk exposures and mark to market P&Ls are known and monitored against the Company's appropriate governance frameworks and limits.


This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the data in the systems that support commodity risk reporting, focusing on a range of commodities, including (Base Metals, Platinum Group Metals and Trading & Origination) and financial instruments.

The Risk Reporting Specialist is the primary Business partner for Front Office on day to day risk reporting matters.


KEY TASKS

Performance & Delivery

  • Generate (daily, weekly and monthly) risk reports, including P&L and Exposure/Position using the implemented risk system. Adhoc reporting as requested by the Risk Reporting Manager or Head of Risk & Compliance.
  • Acts as the main focal point with Traders and Finance on daytoday issues, responsible for creating solutions and maintain good customer relationships. This role will be the primary business partner for Front Office on day to day risk reporting matters.
  • Analyse trading results, including P&L and exposures. The analysis can require a very high degree of technical competence, requiring advanced Excel and SQL knowledge.
  • Validate and manage the accuracy of trade and reporting data in the CTRM and interfaces to the existing risk systems. Review and address reconciliation results between systems as well as handling of failed reports, errors, and exceptions.
  • Monitor compliance of Front Office activities with the Marketing Risk Policy and escalate breaches of limits to the Front Office and senior management, as required.
  • Validating market data that go into the CTRM and risk systems, to ensure accuracy of trade valuations reporting and invoice value. Perform calculation of Risk Metrics including, but not limited to VaR, Stress Testing and Backtesting for the physical and financial portfolios.
  • Assist in the rolling out and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) of CTRM and Risk system improvements.
  • Support Risk Reporting strategic initiatives and regional business activities.
  • Interface with Risk team members in other regions as part of a seamless interface to the business and support Follow the Sun operations.
**Qualifications

  • What we're looking for*
  • Risk Control experience in the commodity trading environment (physical and financial), which should include:
  • Knowledge of commodities markets
  • P&L reporting
  • Exposure/Position reporting
  • Value at Risk (VaR) reporting
  • Risk modelling experience in Excel/Access using VBA.
  • Experience with Power BI is preferred.
  • Indepth knowledge of the calculations behind P&L and exposure calculations for both physical and financial commodity trades including complex derivatives like options.
  • The ability to build/review/amend Excel/VBA models, generate data warehouse queries in SQL. SQL experience is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders across a global organization.
  • Experience/understanding of Metals commodities market, such as Copper, Nickel, Zinc, Aluminium, Tin and Precious Metals will be preferred.
  • This role is expected to interface with Risk team members in other regions as part of a seamless interface to the business and support Follow the Sun operations.
  • Support global reporting strategic initiatives and regional business activities.
