Finance Directorate

Full-time contract (35 hours per week)

Open-ended; permanent role


We are looking for an enthusiastic, service-focused individual to provide dedicated day-to-day calendar support to four busy Heads of Finance along with providing efficient and flexible support within the Finance Administration team.


The Opportunity:

This is an exciting and challenging role and a great opportunity for an aspiring
Personal Assistant .


You will have the opportunity to utilise your excellent organisation skills to provide extensive and complex diary management and will be able to demonstrate personal initiative and confidence and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within the team and with other PA's.


This role enables activities across the Finance group of teams including Finance, Procurement & Printing Services and Edinburgh Research Office.

This full time open-ended post will also involve a combination of office and home working.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Previous diary management experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Confident, with the ability to communicate with people on all levels within the organisation
  • Ability to carry out role with absolute discretion
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Sound educational background with good written and numeracy skills
  • Strong IT skills, including knowledge of software packages, PowerPoint and Microsoft office
