The overall aim of this role is to support CCHM's wider vision in reducing the total number of people homeless or at risk of homelessness.

You will have the ability to work within a small team and lead in Plymouth on projects within the organisation during a period of growth and change.


To assist the Supported Housing Service Manager and Housing Officer in the resource planning and leading in the coordination and delivery in the daily provision of Housing related support and activities for clients to ensure the delivery of a high quality, responsive and efficient service.


To provide and oversee the support to people with housing needs to enable them to develop the necessary skills to sustain their housing and to achieve their aspirations for independent living, whilst addressing any personal challenges.

Further support duties will be determined by the individual needs of the clients.


Tenancy Management Tasks

  • Identify clients' individual support needs through consultation and agreement with the client (and, where appropriate, outside partners), devise and implement suitable Housing settlement and support plans to ensure that identified needs are met.
  • Encourage and support clients to live a full and rewarding life within the local community, providing information, emotional, organisational, and practical Housing related support, as appropriate.
  • To carry out risk assessments, Outcome Star and further documentation as and when necessary due to the changing needs and aspirations of users.
  • Engage with local neighbours to support clients to integrate into the community.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Manage any antisocial behaviour and contribute to meaningful action planning.
  • Organise and provide appropriate support for clients' preparing to moveon to greater independence, including support through the move and resettlement into their own selfsustaining tenancy.
  • Liaise and signpost clients with other housing and support services and professionals, benefits, welfare and advocacy agencies, as well as family members, as appropriate.
  • To assist the Supported Housing Service Manager and Housing Officer to achieve service objectives and assist in the development and implementation of policies, practices and procedures.
  • Keep up to date with clients' issues relevant to housing & support, welfare benefits and other relevant legislation.
  • To undertake all core training required for this post and other training and professional development activities as required, including full induction programme.
  • To work closely with all staff and tenants to ensure they adhere to CC Housing Management Ltd' current values, policies & procedures.

Managing Services

  • To assist the Supported Housing Service Manager and Housing Officer to ensure the service is running to the optimal capacity.
  • To be responsible for clients' individual needs.
  • To be productive in your use of time and daily duties.
  • To assist the manager in effectively managing voids as and when required.
  • To be responsible for reporting property maintenance and repairs.
  • To be jointly responsible, with the Housing Officer, and all staff, in relation to all Health and Safety matters, ensuring at all times the service is compliant with Fire regulations and all Health and Safety workplace legislation and procedures detailed in our Health & Safety Policy.
  • To prepare and create quality reports and quality assurance data, as per role and service requirements.
  • The role requires excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with and engaging people to enable you to build direct relationships with stakeholders, which may at times be challenging and emotionally demanding.
There is also an expectation that you could work out of hours when required, including evening and occasional weekends.
