Applications are invited for the post of a Teaching Fellow on the Sciences strand of the Integrated Foundation Year (STEM).


The Integrated Foundation Degree (IFY) is a developmental programme that aims to prepare students for success in higher education and beyond.

The programme encourages students to become active lifelong learners providing the opportunity for development through a holistic, coherent curriculum that delivers knowledge, understanding and skills in a fully integrated way.

Within the regulative qualification framework, it is distinctive from A Level, other Level 3 and undergraduate study, sitting somewhere between the two - level three and a half working towards level 4.

Aligned with Royal Holloway's emphasis on widening access, the IFY programme supports students from under-represented backgrounds and those often overlooked in traditional higher education.


  • Computer Programming (especially Python)
  • Biological, Earth and Health Sciences
  • Computer Science and Electronic Engineering


Curriculum development may also be required as part of the drive to improve teaching and learning within the Centre continuously.

Marking, course administration and pastoral support are integral to the role.
