Quality Welding Inspector - BIRKENHEAD - TEMPORARY 3-MONTHS £24.00ph
Working for a global business with a focus on the Nuclear industry - are looking for a Quality Welding Inspector to work the part of a wider team who can support with the delivery of quality standards at their facility in Birkenhead.
- Mon-Thurs 7.30am4.00pm and Fri 7.00am 1.00pm
Quality Welding Inspector - Key Accountabilities
- Assist in the preparation of procedures/work instructions and training regarding quality matters to ensure the company's quality systems requirements are understood, implemented, and maintained.
- Conduct quality control inspections and generate and maintain records.
- Ensure, in liaison with other departments, suppliers, and where applicable clients that any nonconforming product is identified and controlled.
- Participate in the investigation of nonconformances, corrective/preventative actions, and complaints as required and maintain records.
- Participate in quality projects and initiatives such as Zero-Defect Delivery, production optimization, etc.
- Ensure that all equipment used for inspection and testing by the QA/QC department is calibrated and records maintained.
- Ensure that all work practices comply with legal and statutory requirements relating to health and safety.
- Support the delivery of Contract, Business Unit, and Quality Action Plans and ITPs.
- Support and facilitate Quality management planning (including contract quality plans and industryspecific plans).
- Challenge current systems and processes to ensure best practice and continual improvement.
- Where required, support the development of appropriate content for the business management system.
- Support qualityrelated improvement initiatives.
- Provide advice and coaching on Quality issues.
- Support Qualityrelated training to equip the business with the skills to drive improvements in Quality performance.
- Interface with audit function to support locally where required.
- Support contracts to ensure they are compliant with Company & contract specific requirements.
- Where appropriate, provide Quality advice to our supply chain.
- Where required, provide Quality input to the tender development and bidding process.
- Production of appropriate reports and management information.
- Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm.
- Support the business unit external accreditation process including ISO9001 and industry accreditations.
- Understanding and comprehension of BIM 360 Field.
Quality Welding Inspector - Essential Experience
- CWSIP
- An understanding and commitment to Quality Management.
- Ability to nurture strong relationships with delivery teams and project managers.
- Either a CQI Practitioner or willing to work towards practitioner status.
- Competent user of modern office computer systems e.g., Microsoft Office.
Quality Welding Inspector - Desirable Experience
- A working knowledge of the sector in which the role is to operate.
- An understanding and knowledge of ISO 9001 and Internal Audit.
- Ability to gather, analyze, and evaluate facts.
- Pays attention to detail and the ability to see things through to completion.
- Can deliver reports orally and written in an objective manner.
- Is a selfstarter who manages their own time.
- Has an enquiring and questioning approach to audit work.
- Is able to work within a multidiscipline team.
Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 3 months
Salary:
£23.00-£24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38.5 per week
