The Impact:
Lead a small team within the EMEA regional news organization structure.
Maintain S&P Global Commodity Insights' high journalistic standards, practices and policies and ensure editorial quality in line with our content transformation strategy and editorial focus on differentiated content and news powering markets.

You will be joining a high impact team and be expected to hit the ground running by driving news and content generation across the downstream team.
The role provides access to a wide array of pricing and data analytics, giving you a unique opportunity to add value and insight to coverage.
The Team / The Business:
The EMEA commodities news team works closely together in what can be a fast-paced environment.
You'll work with reporters on your team and with colleagues across upstream oil, gas, power, metals and energy transition desks.
You will be flexible as a manager and show the ability to pivot your team in response to breaking news that requires context and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Downstream Oil Content
As a news manager you will be responsible for ensuring your team is producing market-leading news across the full spectrum of refined products including road transport fuels, marine, aviation fuels and sustainable fuels.
- Content Presentation
You will be required to think innovatively on how best to present the content to make it impactful and reader friendly.
- Content Generation and management
- Market engagement
Required Skills:
Relevant experience in oil news leadership/team management
Expert knowledge of downstream hydrocarbons.
Strong understanding of downstream oil and impacts/markets
News planning and content ideation.
Excellent English language editing and writing skills.
Data analysis skills.
Visual storytelling and infographic creation skills.
news team management.
European languages, or Arabic, a plus.
