We are looking for an inclusion Team Leader who is ready to make a difference.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead on a new project and play in key role in supporting others to make a real difference.
This is a new pilot project will break down the barriers and bridge the gap between DWP Job Centres and Recovery Services, supporting individuals suffering from substance misuse issues to get the support they need to gain and sustain employment.
Responsibilities:
The Mentoring Inclusion Team Lead will be responsible for the recruitment of the peer mentors, this will include working with local substance misuse services and volunteer leads to identify potential Peer Mentors for the project and promoting these opportunities across the locality.
- You will train, line manage, and supervise the team of DWP Peer Mentors, ensuring that they have the skills, knowledge and experience needed to undertake the role.
- You will be expected to create and facilitate a learning culture for all that promotes staff engagement and considers diversity.
- You will manage referrals and allocations of mentees and monitor the performance and outcomes of mentoring relationships.
- You will ensure one to one sessions are planned, meaningful, and accurate mentoring records are being maintained and recorded.
- You will work with the DWP staff to increase their knowledge and understanding of drug and alcohol dependency. Supporting and training them to have open, bold, and compassionate conversations with individuals that encourage disclosure and promote a culture of openness and support around substance misuse and dependency.
- You will be working collaboratively with the DWP Job Centres, Substance Misuse Services and Partner agencies to promote the service and encourage referrals into the project, providing training to ensure they understand the aims of the mentoring project and the referral process.
