What the day will look like
Here at Aon Compliance Assurance forms part of the UK Risk and Compliance ("UKR&C") function. UKR&C reports through to the Global Law and Compliance function.

Aon UK regulated entities have regulatory and legislative obligations and consequently, all must establish, implement, and maintain systems and controls frameworks sufficient to meet those obligations.

It is the responsibility of the Compliance Assurance team to provide senior management of the Aon UK entities with an independent evaluation of the operation of the frameworks in place to ensure they consistently meet the obligations and deliver good customer outcomes.

The Compliance Assurance & Analytics Relationship Lead role is responsible for development, implementation, maintenance, and overall success of Aon UK compliance assurance programs and strategies, utilising leading edge data analytics to enhance the value and relevance of the function.

The role will lead a team of compliance and data analytics professionals to deliver a data driven, flexible and risk-based annual compliance assurance plan, working closely with the R&C Relationships Managers and business leadership.

The team will provide assurance where local systems and controls are operating effectively and identify where action is required to strengthen existing controls.

How this opportunity is different

Lead and continually improve the reporting, management information and feedback from the assurance programme, together with remedial action tracking, to ensure senior management are sufficiently informed to manage regulatory risk consistently and inform future strategic decision making.

Lead the continual review and development of the ACAP through assessing the conduct, reputational and regulatory risks of business' activity, new business initiatives, and/or changes to internal and external factors such as industry and regulatory developments that might impact Aon UK regulated entities meeting their conduct and regulatory obligations.

Team Leadership

Build and maintain an effective team by assessing and selecting individuals with the required skills and experience and through effective coaching and identifying, and acting upon, any development areas for colleagues.

Provide opportunities for colleagues to improve and showcase their skills demonstrating collaborative teamwork. Data Analytics Activities

Lead the development and implementation of a flexible, easy-to-use, scalable and governed data analytics strategy and capability, to drive enhanced insights across the 2nd line of defence and support the R&C leadership and the business in making better decisions.

Lead the development of digital solutions for the collation, aggregation and analysis of regulatory and business data to drive the ongoing evolution of the ACAP throughout the year.

Building flexibility to take account of emerging regulatory and business risks to enable Aon UK to continue to meet current and future obligations.

Collaborate with the leaders in analytics and assurance functions across Aon to drive alignment on strategy and maximise the potential for existing and emerging technologies e.g., artificial; intelligence, machine learning.

Lead the identification and delivery of analytics projects across the UK R&C portfolio to support enhancements for other teams e.g.

, Financial Crime, Central Compliance, Governance Skills and experience that will lead to success
Experience of designing, implementing and embedding new operating models and capabilities into an established function.

Demonstrates Aon United behaviours, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues and peers within the Risk & Compliance function and wider Aon business areas to develop strong relationships with key business stakeholders.

Excellent stakeholder management, relationship building and influencing skills at senior management and Board level. Confidence and credibility to face off to the organisation's executive management and directors.
Detailed knowledge of financial services industry, including broking and insurance, investment and health sectors. Covering areas of regulation, operating practices, technology.
