Organisation and Development Officer - Young Workers

£44,226 pa rising incrementally to £46,534 pa
Contract type:
Fixed term temporary contract until 31 March 2025
Position type: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday - happy to talk flexible working

You will be responsible for working with unions and other partners to deliver appropriate Wales TUC priorities as directed by the line manager and delivery of Wales TUC contract with Welsh Government.
- Experience of working with trade unions or similar organisations on developing workplace initiatives
- Experience of organising younger workers in trade unions and/or social justice movements and building community alliances
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent communication skills including oral and written, ability to speak Welsh and to communicate bilingually is a distinct advantage in this role
- Sound grasp of current issues in trade unionism in Wales (including industrial, political, economic and equality).
- Ability to deliver work on target and to deadlines without close supervision.
- Presentation skills including ability to communicate complex information to a wide audience.
- Ability to use initiative and provide proposals and solutions to a variety of situations.
