The Role


DCC's operational capability is delivered in partnership with its IT service providers across three main offices based in London, Manchester and Ruddington.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that as a service integrator, DCC and its service providers deliver a high quality of service to its customers whilst demonstrating value for money.


Providing exceptional vision and leadership, the Head of Supplier Delivery Management will have extensive experience of working in a regulated Operational Environment demonstrating a natural ability for setting the strategy, ensuring the team is structured for success with the right people and capabilities while meeting performance measures and demonstrating financial control.

What will you be doing?

  • Accountability for the delivery of operational KPI's & SLA's that are delivered via our supplier and partners including any performance recovery/improvement plans
  • Accountable for the contractual management and governance oversight of our inlife suppliers and partners, including informing the ongoing supplier roadmap and commercial frameworks
  • Champion a customer centric "Customer first" culture through driving collaborative conversations that bring the endtoend supply chain together under a
- single service' agenda

  • Accountable for the build, governance and spend of supplier related Operational budgets (c.£190m pa) demonstrating rigour and accuracy of spend against budgets up to 5 years out.
  • Ownership over the contractual roadmap for all suppliers across the service ensuing alignment across the Commercial, programs and finance teams.
  • Accountable for identifying and coordinating Operational Strategic initiatives including Continuous Improvement, Optimisation and Transformation opportunities.
  • Representing Supplier Delivery Management team in any internal and external forums
  • Being responsible for owning and driving the culture and people strategy through being part of both the Supplier Delivery Management leadership team and wider Operations leadership team
  • Creating and owning collaborative relationship across the wider organisation matrix of Smart DCC, but specifically with Commercial, SRM, Finance and Program teams
  • Responsible for risk and issue management ensure robust mitigation plans are in place with clear governance and monitoring in place

What are we looking for?

  • Structed and well organised selfstarter with demonstrated success dealing with and overcoming ambiguity, operating in a highgrowth environment, and solving problems with limited oversight whilst maintaining an enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality.
  • Significant experience of supplier relationship management and utilisation of recognised supplier management governance frameworks
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining collaborative and partnershipbased relationships with service suppliers
  • Knowledge of commercial methods and approaches (CIPS)
  • Experience of working in an ITIL environment and the working practices that come with this approach
  • Demonstrated experience in transforming business units through utilising a continuous improvement methodology
  • Able to contribute and make decisions at a senior level and be comfortable being the 'goto' expert in your field. Equally as able to operate at a strategic level with customers, partners and executives and having detailed discussions with technology specialists.
