The Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Advisor is responsible for proactively, developing, publicising and maintaining the site EHS management system.
The EHS Advisor will be seen as a competent (trained, knowledgeable and experienced) EHS professional, who is able to operate and be influential at all levels within the business within their area and remit.
In this role you'll:
- Promote a positive health and safety culture challenging bad practice and implementing/ supporting corrective control measures
- Carry out surveys of the site
- Where competent deliver training or arrange for training courses to be delivered
- Carry out EHS production audits of departments weekly
- Develop, implement and monitor departmental EHS improvement plans in conjunction with the Compile Safety and Accident alerts for the site
- Support department managers to complete accident investigations within a 24hrs time frame
You:
- Have experience working in a support role in EHS or in a role where EHS is a key element
- Have specific knowledge and experience of EHS processes and or EHS Management Systems would be beneficial
- An understanding of manufacturing or hands on experience of working in a manufacturing environment
- Are Computer literate
- Have a strong background knowledge/experience in Health & Safety
