Hours:
Permanent, Full Time, Hybrid, two days per month office based


Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for producing key financial reports and commentary, forecasts and budgets whilst business partnering financial and non-financial colleagues in the business by providing analysis and insight to aidinformed decision making.

Skills and Experience

  • Educated to degree level
  • Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • At least 3 years management accounting experience
  • Understanding of financial reporting, full P&L and Balance Sheet preparation
  • Excellent communication skills with experience of business partnering nonfinance colleagues
  • Experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting and analysis
  • Self-Starter with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills and attention to detail whilst also being able to see the bigger picture where appropriate
  • Strong experience of multitasking and ability to work and prioritise under pressure
  • Proficient use of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics advantageous)

The Job Description

  • Production of the monthly management accounts for allocated business units together with variance analysis and commentary against budget and forecasts
  • Acting as the finance business partner for cost centre owners, sharing results and analysis, creating adhoc financial reporting, answering queries and providing financial insight
  • Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and resolving queries


  • Responsible
for key weekly and monthly reporting

  • Ownership of accrued/deferred income and liaising with the ledger team and project managers to assist with timely invoicing
  • Preparation of annual budgets and rolling 12month forecasts
  • Finance lead on commercial contract check lists
  • Working with the business to streamline processes that affect the monthend process
  • Preparation and support in the audit of financial statements (Internal and external)
  • Deputising for the Finance Manager on matters in his/her absence
  • Any other adhoc work as required to support the business
