This is an exciting opportunity to join the multi-award winning Facilities team at Manchester Met as part of the Residential & Conference Service on their journey to become the best Facilities department in the sector and support the University's ambitions of becoming the best modern University in the UK.


About the role:


We are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient, and motivated Customer Service Administrator to support the ongoing development of the Residential Allocations team.


  • You will have a natural passion for customer service, and the ability to remain focussed in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
  • Be a confident, peoplefocused professional with the ability to identify student need, provide effective advice and support and signpost appropriately to wider University services or teams.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing, as well as excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish positive and effective working relationships.
  • Provide a high standard customer focussed administrative service to several different stakeholders
  • Have excellent numeracy, literacy, and a good understanding of IT packages.
  • Confident in taking ownership of and resolving complex queries.
  • Strong organisation skills.
  • Experienced in dealing with students in difficult situations.
  • Experienced in prioritising your own workload to meet set objectives and deadlines.
  • Have a flexible approach to work to enable the team to deliver a highquality customer focused service.
Permanent full time role Monday to Friday - 8:45 am - 4:30pm with the option of some hybrid working.


There is a requirement to work occasional evenings and weekends to provide cover for Open Days, the University's clearing period, and the main halls arrival and departure weekends.
