Job IntroductionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term Full time Senior Practitioner (Qualified Social Worker) to join the NST Eastbourne and South Wealden Neighbourhood Support Team.
You will be part of a busy, dynamic and established team. Your role will primarily be to join the Senior Practitioner Duty Safeguarding rota within the NST team.This role is an excellent opportunity to develop and practice your Safeguarding skills to encourage a holistic, person centred approach which is at the heart of what we do.
Safeguarding Adults is a major part of the role, where you will be risk assessing initial concerns and overseeing the management of safeguarding enquires, fostering an outcomes approach to Safeguarding work.
This is a fast paced, exciting role, for a practitioner who has a specific interest in Safeguarding work and you will bring to the role an excellent ability to communicate, manage change effectively and demonstrate your ability to be resilient under pressure.
The Senior Practitioner will have an opportunity within the NST team to provide supervision to Social Workers and Resource Officers, managerial oversight of complex case work where required whilst striving to provide positive outcomes for people with assessed care and support needs.
- Have a wide range of Safeguarding experience
- An ability to work independently and part of a team.
- Have in depth experience of risk assessment and complex case management work. Have a good knowledge base and understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Safeguarding Adults Policy and Procedures.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
