Based out of their city centre offices in Exeter and operating a modern, hybrid workplace, join a fast-paced Managed Service Provider (MSP) and work with companies with a handful of users, all the way up to large enterprise sized businesses, educationalorganisations, and charities with thousands of users worldwide.

They are looking for a First line IT Support Technician to join the team.


What's needed
They are looking for a First line IT support technician to join the team.

Joining as a First line IT support technician, they will be looking for you to have completed an apprenticeship or have worked in an MSP environment like theirs or as part of an internalIT Team.


Acting as an escalation point to their front line team, you will be great at helping with anything from troubleshooting faults, setting up new equipment and administering systems such as Windows server and Microsoft 365.


In this role you will be able to progress your career through their unique Tech Band programme and work with their Cloud and Infrastructure, Enterprise, Security and Modern Workplace project delivery teams.

On commencement, they will work with you to createa personal development plan and identify and roadmap your progression path and will work with you to adapt this as you develop.


You'll have:


  • Have had at least two years of experience working for an internal or MSP team however, lesser experience can be considered if you are able to demonstrate an ability to perform the duties of the role
  • Have completed an apprenticeship or relevant training such as Microsoft certifications & exams
  • Excellent communication and prioritisation skills
  • Have a keen desire to learn and progress via our internal training and personal development programmes
  • Be able to provide a clear DBS (criminal record) check
Things you can expect to get involved with

  • Provide an escalation point for their front line team
  • Handle more complex requests or faults that fall outside of the front line team's scope

Such as:

  • Tackling faults that are likely to exceed a 10 minute fix
  • More advanced desktop support to include thirdparty software installation, upgrade, basic fault finding and escalation if required
  • New equipment setup such as desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Basic administration and management of windows servers and Microsoft 365 tenants with a focus on users, groups, and permissions
  • Basic user related network fault diagnostics via our diagnostics flows
